The Jyotirlinga

The revered abode of Kedarnath

This focused yatra is dedicated to Kedarnath — one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the most revered of the Char Dham, set dramatically below snow peaks in the Garhwal Himalaya.

We arrange every drive, stay and darshan, and the trek by pony/palki or a helicopter, at a comfortable pace.

Planning for elders & accessibility

Senior-friendly planning

  • The Kedarnath trek is roughly 16–18 km each way from Gaurikund. Elders can go on foot with rests, by pony, by palki (dandi/kandi) or by helicopter from the Guptkashi–Phata–Sersi helipads.
  • Kedarnath sits at about 3,583 m, so we keep a rest night at Guptkashi or Sitapur, advise warm layers and hydration, and recommend a medical check-up before travel for anyone with heart, lung or blood-pressure conditions.
  • We book stays as close to the trek start as possible and keep the return day light.

Registration & official notes

  • Char Dham Yatra registration (Uttarakhand Tourism) is mandatory for every pilgrim; carry the same photo ID you registered with.
  • Kedarnath helicopter tickets are sold only through the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal — beware of fake booking sites. We guide you through it.
  • Opening and closing dates are announced by the temple committee each year; we confirm them before fixing your dates.

Rules, timings and fees are set by the authorities and can change — we confirm them for your dates.

Kedarnath Yatra FAQs

The best window is May–Jun, Sep–Oct. We tailor the season to your dates and advise on snow, monsoon and pass-closure timing so your trip runs smoothly.

We begin from Haridwar / Dehradun and handle every transfer and internal drive in a private chauffeur-driven car. Tell us your arrival flight or train and we plan around it.

This route is designed as a well-paced 5 Days / 4 Nights journey. We can shorten or extend it, add rest days, or combine it with a nearby region — it is fully customisable.

This is a moderate (trek) route with real altitude, so a reasonable fitness level helps. We build in acclimatisation and gentle pacing, use experienced local guides, and handle permits, camps and safety throughout.

Handpicked stays with daily breakfast (dinner on request). Choose your tier — Standard, Deluxe, Premium or Luxury — and we match the stays and inclusions to it, always with a GST invoice.

Every journey is private and customised, so we quote per person after learning your dates, group size and hotel tier — with no hidden charges and a proper GST invoice.

Yes, with planning. Most elders do the 16–18 km climb by pony, palki or helicopter rather than on foot, with a rest night before and after. We recommend a medical check-up because Kedarnath is at about 3,583 m.

Yes. Every pilgrim needs the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra registration, and the details are checked en route. We complete it with you before travel.

Only through the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal, which opens bookings in phases. Many fake websites and social-media pages sell “helicopter tickets” — never pay them. We help you book on the official portal.

Yes — that is our 7-day Do Dham Yatra, which adds Badrinath by road after Kedarnath.
