Wayanad sits on a high plateau in North Kerala, wrapped in forest that joins Bandipur, Nagarhole and Mudumalai — one of the best places in South India to see wild elephants. This plan balances two jeep safaris with gentle sightseeing and a quiet plantation resort.

Usually, but the sanctuary can close at short notice in the summer fire season (often around February–May). We check before you travel and plan alternatives.

Both offer elephants, gaur and deer. Muthanga is closer to Sulthan Bathery; Tholpetty is quieter and pairs with the Thirunelli temple. This plan includes both.

Yes — safaris, lakes and plantation stays are easy. The Edakkal Caves and Chembra need a steep climb and are optional.
