Quick answer
The best time to visit Goa is November to February — warm, dry, sunny beach weather with the liveliest scene. March is hotter, the June–September monsoon is green, quiet and great value, and October is a pleasant shoulder as the rains clear.
Goa is a year-round destination, but its character shifts with the season. This guide helps you time your Goa trip.

|---|---|---|
| Nov–Feb | Warm, dry, sunny | Beaches, nightlife, festivals — peak |

Peak season: November to February
This is classic Goa — sunshine, calm seas, beach shacks, water sports and a buzzing scene from North Goa's beaches to South Goa's quiet sands. Christmas–New Year is the busiest and priciest window, so book early.
Monsoon Goa
June to September transforms Goa — emerald paddy fields, full waterfalls (Dudhsagar), dramatic skies and near-empty beaches. Swimming is limited by rough seas, but for atmosphere, calm and value, monsoon Goa is a quiet delight.
